
Besides the Carousel of Offerings (a one-day session in which the professor
chooses the topic and receives support from a personal instructor), we transformed
one of the Visual Learning sessions to support the Hybrid Course Design session.
This session was called for since the Provost initiated a call for proposals
to design a hybrid course, meaning a course in which 40%-60% of the instructional
materials are online.
Faculty became familiar with developing flowcharts, and preparing visual and
audio materials for delivery through Blackboard. They created banners for
their online courses, recorded sound to add to Powerpoint and Flash presentations,
and added multimedia materials to their courses.
