Course Management
Q. Why are my students unable to see the course?

A. Students do not have access to your course until you make it available.
To make the course available:
- Access the course, then
- Go to the Control Panel
- Under Course Options, Select Settings
- Click "Course Availability"
- Click "Yes" to make the course available to students
- Click Submit
- Click OK

Q. Can I copy a course into another?
A. Yes, but you must be the instructor in both courses.
To copy a course into another:
- Access the course, then
- Go to the Control Panel of the source course
- Under Course Options, Click Course Copy
- Click Copy Course Materials into an Existing Course
- In the Destination Course ID box, enter the course ID of the destination course.
Click the Browse button to search for the course ID.
- Under Select Course Materials, choose the areas that you want to copy into the course
- Click Submit
- Click OK

Q. How can I create a backup of my course?

A. To create a backup of your course, follow the instructions below:
- Access the course, then
- Go to the Control Panel
- Click Export Course (check all available boxes)
- Click Submit (this may take a few minutes depending on the amount of content in your course)
- Click the link provided under "receipt" to save the compressed file to your computer
- Click Save
- Select the destination drive and folder in which you would like to save the file.
- Click Save (this creates a Zip file)
Note: The Zip file can only be imported into a Bb course. Opening the file outside of
Bb will corrupt its contents.

Q. Is there a way to track the usage of my course content?

A. Yes, to track the usage of content within a course do the following:
- Access the course, then
- Go to Control Panel, Select the content area that contains the content
- Click Manage
- Click Statistics Tracking
- Select View Statistics
- Choose the time period
- Select the users to include in the reports by either selecting "All Users", or select "Selected Users"
- Click Submit
- Click OK

Q. What happens at the end of the semester?

A. Instructors will have access to their courses from past semesters, however students have only 2 weeks
after the semester is over to access their course.

Q. Will Bb courses be deleted?

A. Courses will usually be deleted after two years. An email notification will be sent out a month in
advance, advising you to backup your courses. If you wish to delete courses before hand, send an email request
to FCPE@adelphi.edu. Copy and paste the complete course title and number from your list of courses in the
Courses tab in Bb.
