Adelphi will be visited by a team of evaluators as part of the accreditation process we undergo every decade or so. Accreditation ensures that our university meets a set of common standards or goals recognized as important to a quality education.

Like other degree-granting institutions in our region, our accreditation is overseen by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Over the past two years, people across campus have been working on a Self-Study, in which we assess how well we are meeting the seven standards for accreditation identified by Middle States.

The Self-Study process, which is just now winding down, has been an exciting opportunity to articulate, evaluate, and improve the work we do as a university. When the Middles States team arrives on campus, they will be meeting with groups of students, faculty, staff, and administrators. The campus visit is an opportunity for them to hear from us—from you—about our successes, opportunities, and challenges. Please keep an eye out for additional town halls taking place on campus in March to learn how you can be a part of telling the story of Adelphi.
